For the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, we captured several different aerial data sets to provide detailed information about Chruch’s property and to create a “digital twin” of the structural layout.

Aerial Mapping

CAP runs layers of autonomous missions combined with manually piloted data acquisition techniques in order to gather the most accurate data sets for reality capture.

Point Cloud.png

Point Cloud

A point cloud is a set of data points in 3D space. The points represent a 3D object. Each point has its set of X, Y, and Z coordinates.

3D Mesh

A 3D mesh is the structural build of a 3D model consisting of polygons. 3D meshes reference the point cloud to define shapes with height, width and depth.

The photos used to gather the data are then projected onto the 3D mesh to give the 3D model the photo-realistic finish.

Experience the 3D Virtual Tour

Having the ability to do a virtual tour gives visitors to your website the opportunity to appreciate the scale, grandeur, and beauty of your venue.

Elevation and Plant Health

Data captured from above can give insightful information about your location. CAP can extract detailed elevation maps as well as look into the plant health around your area.

Elevation Map

Typically an elevation map shows the height of physical parts of the Earth, relative to sea level. With our data cans we can set the lowest elevation to make the information more relevant to your needs.

NDVI.png

Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI)

NDVI is calculated from the visible and near-infrared light reflected by vegetation. Healthy vegetation absorbs most of the visible light that hits it, and reflects a large portion of the near-infrared light. Unhealthy or sparse vegetation reflects more visible light and less near-infrared light.
